Sui's Wallet

A fully native DeFi-first wallet for the Sui network — eliminating webviews to deliver a high-performance hub for serious DeFi participants.

01 — Overview

Sui's Wallet is designed to be the premier native DeFi application on the Sui network. While existing wallets in the ecosystem act primarily as browsers, Sui's Wallet integrates DeFi protocols directly into the app's core interface. My goal was to move away from the "Wallet 1.0" model and create a high-performance hub for serious DeFi participants.

02 — The Problem

Escaping the Webview Trap

The Sui mobile landscape is dominated by wallets that rely heavily on Webview wrappers, creating major pain points for power users:

Poor Performance

Webviews lead to laggy scrolling, unresponsive buttons, and slow load times.

Disconnected UX

Users feel like they are leaving their wallet every time they open a dApp, creating a fragmented and disjointed experience.

Security Risks

Webviews are more susceptible to phishing overlays compared to native code.

Wallet 1.0 Feel

Existing solutions feel like simple storage tools rather than powerful financial instruments.

03 — Process
Market Analysis

We analyzed user sentiment and found a clear opening for a power user tool. We realized that to win over average users, we needed to pivot messaging from technical specs to safety and simplicity.

Research & Strategy

We focused on the "Distribution Puzzle" — by making DeFi invisible through native integration, we could unlock global liquidity. A strict deadline was set to build and test a functional prototype by January 2026 to evaluate the feel of a native DeFi flow.

Competitive Audit

We looked at top-tier EVM wallets to see how they handled private transfers and native swaps, then adapted those lessons for the Sui ecosystem.

04 — Solution

Fully native — no webviews

Sui's Wallet communicates directly with smart contracts, eliminating webviews entirely.

Native DeFi Integration

Instead of loading a mobile website, Sui's Wallet communicates directly with smart contracts. This allows for a lightning-fast native swap UI with a 0.5% fee structure, plus direct access to Lending, Margin, and Perps through native components.

UI Design Flows

We focused on three primary flows:

Main Dashboard

A clean, high-contrast view of assets and balances. Private Transfers moved to a prominent position to emphasize security.

Activity & History

A simplified ledger providing human-readable transaction data, moving away from complex hash strings.

Killer Feature Stack

Native integration of LP Pro and DeepBook Margin, ensuring UI consistency regardless of the underlying protocol.

Design System

To maintain speed and quality, a modular design system was developed covering typography, colors, and a full native component library.

05 — Outcome

Sui's Wallet is on track to redefine how users interact with the Sui network. By focusing on a DeFi-first native approach, we have achieved:

Performance Gains

A significant reduction in load times and input lag compared to web-wrapper competitors.

Strategic Positioning

Positioned as the antidote to sluggish official wallets, specifically targeting high-volume traders.

Revenue Potential

A clear path to monetization through in-app swaps and referral programs with DeFi protocol partners.
